Sitting on the edge of downtown and the corner of Over-the-Rhine is Cincinnati's Washington Park.  Recently refurbished, the park is an oasis for local events, dog walkers and people watching.  With glorious neighbors like Cincinnati's Music Hall, one can hear the sounds of the symphony and operatic voices in the air.  It's a place overflowing with Cincinnati.

At Bishop Carroll High School, the Teacher Advisor program is central to the working of a self-directed model. Teachers are committed to ensuring that each individual is known personally by at least one adult. There are many components to the teacher advisor program including continuous dialogue. Advisors meet at least once a week for fifteen minutes or more with each student in their TA.

The rain was biblical, but the air roasting at the same time. The canoe bobbed uneasily down the Kinabatangan, in the east of Malaysian Borneo, the river dancing under the heavy rainfall. Passing a few small villages, the villagers washing in the murky brown water, fully aware that 6 foot crocodiles live in the water but with no other option, hours passed timelessly.

Honey toned, orange tipped, butter yellow, glowing green lowlands frame towering craggy capped mountains.   Tinkly cascades flow into luminous rivers surrounded by lush fern fronded forests splashed with amber mosses and vibrant orange fungi.   It is hard to believe that anyone would want to despoil this area , tear down ancient trees for logging and then flood the damaged land with water and create  a dam.
